Most PAs Report Satisfaction With Work-Life Balance

A new national study of nearly 150,000 Board Certified PAs found 71.7% reported being satisfied with their work-life balance, with disparities by specialty, workload, career stage, debt and gender.

The study, published in BMJ Open, examined demographic and occupational factors associated with work-life balance among PAs using 2023 data from the NCCPA PA Professional Profile.

PA Compact Continues to Gain Traction

Alabama recently joined the PA Compact. To date, 24 states have passed legislation to join the compact, with bills introduced in 11 additional states. The PA Licensure Compact allows Board Certified PAs to practice in various participating states without navigating separate, state-by-state licensing processes.

The PA Compact is gaining momentum. 23 States have now passed the PA Compact, and legislation has been introduced in 12 other states.
