Tell us a bit about you and your current role?
When I applied to PA programs in 1996, there were only 83 accredited programs, predominantly bachelor’s in science degrees. I graduated in 1999 with a B.S. in Physician Assistant Studies, achieving summa cum laude honors and ranking as the class salutatorian.
In the last 25 years, I have practiced medicine across various specialties and in multiple cities throughout the U.S. My current role is as the singular Department of Veterans Affairs Boise, Idaho VA Medical Center Nephrology Lead. Since 2005, I have worked both as a contracted clinician and as an employee of the VA.
