NCCPA Celebrates National PA Week!

Certified PAs…

help increase access to health care and help to reduce patient wait times,

diagnose patients and perform surgical procedures,

engage in continuous medical education and recertify every 10 years, and

see more than 9.1 million patients per week!

Though PAs give us plenty of reason to celebrate throughout the year, National PA Week (October 6-12) is a week-long celebration of the PA profession, and the many contributions PAs make to health care.

NCCPA is very proud to celebrate National PA Week, and we’re kicking off the week’s festivities with an ad in the New York Times!

Pick up a copy of the New York Times on Monday, October 7 before work, class or before you head to PAs on the Plaza to check out our ad highlighting the many ways that Certified PAs are transforming health care!

Please take photos with the ad and share them with us on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) to help raise public awareness about our great profession. PAs continue to be one of the best kept secrets in health care! Don’t forget to use the hashtags #PAWeek and #PAsDoThat when you do!

The ad could also make for a great poster to hang in waiting rooms or offices to help educate patients, so you won’t want to miss this great memento!

To add to the celebration, NCCPA will run radio ads promoting the profession throughout PA Week, including time slots airing during Thursday Night Football on Thursday, Oct. 10, NCAA Football on Saturday, Oct. 12 and several additional programs on Westwood One/Cumulus stations throughout the country. Also, be sure to look out for digital ads on the AARP, MedPage Today, WebMD, Health, Prevention and HealthDay websites.

Stay tuned for updates!

NCCPA has more exciting news to share during National PA Week, and we encourage you to check our website often for new developments.

It’s a great time to be a PA, and NCCPA is proud to be a part of this profession!
