Through the Foundation, NCCPA is giving back to the PA profession. Read more about our exciting projects, and join us!

Competencies for the PA Profession is the result of an almost two year effort by a multi-organization workgroup charged with taking the first step in addressing the public outcry for higher quality and greater accountability in health care. NCCPA's computer-based PANCE and PANRE exams are conducted at more than 200 Pearson VUE testing centers across the country. Visit www.pearsonvue.com for directions to testing centers in your area.

Anticipating that many PAs would want to frame their new certificate, NCCPA has facilitated a frame program with Atlanta-based GeoDirect who offers custom frames at half the retail cost. To view available frames and place an order, visit GeoDirect. Please e-mail all frame questions to GeoDirect or call them directly 1-888-436-9957.

The Certification Standard is aimed at physicians and employers and focuses on the key components of the PA-C® credential and NCCPA’s efforts to maintain and elevate the integrity of the profession’s credential. To read our Certification Standard, click here.

NCCPA has a formal appeals policy, described in detail in a document that’s available on demand— Appeal Process For Adverse Certification Decisions.  If you decide to register a complaint, file a grievance or make an appeal, request that document right away. (You must contact us within 3 days of the exam if you want to file an exam grievance.) The document is available on our site index and downloads page. Or contact our legal department to request a mailed copy.

Need a receipt letter?  To print a receipt for any payments made to NCCPA since 2004, sign in to your personal certification record at www.nccpa.net and click the "Receipt" link in the left-hand column of your My Record page and then follow the on-screen instructions.

If you have been called to active duty and are concerned about meeting your certification maintenance requirements, please complete the Request For Extension for Military PAs Called to Active Duty form.
